For further debate on the new versus reycled issue I was listenig today to Gary Numans storm troopers in drag, and was amazed to think that it actually sounded more pioneering today than alot of these electro pop routines who really appear to be rechurning the ground covered by those before.
Maybe it’s just the after glow of nostalgia but so much of today’s current trends seem to be disposable temporary quick fixes rather than solid cultural statments orrr maybe ims justa getting old.

Speaking of boyz 2 men, stones throw have soul all wrapped up with Mayer Hawethorn. We came across him reading an interview with Ghost Face who was giving him massive props. The guy sounds like he’s straight outta motown and with beats from stones throw it sounds amazing.
It’s kind of like Marvin Gaye is not really dead but standing behind a small white guy. For the remix crowd Classix do a nice drop of his track green eyed love.
